The Importance of Pedagogical Corners in Preschool Education

This article aims to understand the importance of educational corners in Pre-School Education (EPE). Through observation carried out in 20 preschools, we found that these schools implement the corner learning model. However, due to some limitations, such as lack of spaces in the classroom, the number of corners in each preschool is not always the same. The objective of establishing corners is to offer different environments, it also provides opportunities for the child to develop their creativity and interact with everyday life. Furthermore, the creation of educational corners is based on Montessori theory, which consists of promoting autonomy and individual freedom through practice and collaborative play.
